Age 85, of Moss Point, MS, entered eternal life at his residence on Thursday, February 11, 2010, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 27, 1924, in Mobile, AL, to the late Edward and Florence Jones.
He was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the past 17-years, enjoyed gardening and fishing, and worked as papermill machinist.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bill Jones. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34-years, Gail Jones, of Moss Point. Three daughters, Catherine Beltran and her husband Jaime, of Gulfcrest, AL; Pat Golden and her husband Bill, of Moss Point; and Marlene Lee and her husband Mike, of Creola, AL. Two sons, Kenneth G. Jones and his wife Joyce, of McIntosh, AL; and Danny Morgan and his wife Susan, of Foley, AL. Daughter-in-law Donna Jones, of Citronelle, AL. Twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and another on the way. His special Chihuahua “Benji”, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 1:00 pm, at the First Pentecostal Church of Helena, with Rev. Timothy Mains officiating.
