Life Legacy
Mr. James Neal Dunn, age 76, of Moss Point, MS, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 after a long battle with Lou Gehrigs Disease (ALS).
He was born October 29, 1933 in Kingsport, TN. Mr. Dunn was a dispatcher in the rigging dept. at Ingall Shipyard from 1970 to 1996 before retiring.
Recognized as a hard worker and a devoted father and provider for his family. Mr.Dunn enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and yardwork with his son which he had so much pride in and loved his large oak trees the most, along with collecting die-cast replica cars and rare coins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Brownlow and Elizabeth Missouri Mowdy Dunn, one daughter, Kimi Bonita Smith, a sister, Phyliss Sandage, a brother Kenneth Paul Dunn, and his dear friend, E.J.Pittman of Mobile, AL.
He is survived by his friend and former wife, Frances Darlene Hodge of Tupelo, MS, his son, Daryl D. "Boy" Dunn of Moss Point, 3 grandchildren; Jalin Brock Dunn, Autumn Brooke Dunn, and James Stefnos Dunn, his children in Kingsport, TN, daughters; Mary E. Baldwin Kate, sons; Mark Baldwin and Steven Baldwin, two brothers; Brownie Dunn and David Roy Dunn and a sister, Molly Dunn Bartley, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
He was much loved and will be sadly missed. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the chapel with Paul Buckley officiating. Interment will be at Serene Memorial Gardens, Moss Point, MS.
